Olympic ice skating champion Evan Lysacek, ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews and Pussycat Dolls' singer Nicole Scherzinger performed two of their last four dances on Monday's "Dancing with the Stars." They'll dance again on the two-hour Tuesday finale at 9 p.m. The celebrity and his or her professional dance partner who receive the most combined judges' points and viewers' votes will win the coveted mirror-ball trophy. Here's a recap of Monday's show:
Each couple preformed two dances on Monday's episode. A redemption dance, one performed poorly in an early episode, and a freestyle dance that had no rules. The top two celebrities and their partners will perform two more dances on Tuesday's episode before a winner is chosen.
Nicole Scherzinger and Erin Andrews were tied with 55 points out of 60. Evan Lysacek isn't far behind with 52 points.
Nicole Scherzinger and partner Derek Hough earned 27 points for their freestyle which included elements of dances the couple did earlier in the season. Unfortunately the couple stumbled on their final lift.
Carrie Ann Inaba, 9: "That's the freestyle we've all been waiting for."
Len Goodman, 9: "I saw lindy hop. I saw salsa. I saw quickstep. I saw jive. I saw fun. I saw entertainment. I saw fantastic freestyle."
Bruno Tonioli, 9: "You pushed the bar so high it's incredible.... Amazing."
Evan Lysacek and partner Anna Trebunskaya earned 24 points for their freestyle to "Footloose."
Bruno Tonioli, 8: "You went for it. You were demented... I know you want it very, very badly but you have to be very, very careful because what you lose is the precision and the slickness."
Carrie Ann Inaba, 8: "That was odd... you guys were like dancing two completely separate dances."
Len Goodman, 8: "I don't think it was really what you wanted to do, Anna. I don't think it was what you wanted to do, Evan. And it certainly wasn't what I wanted to see."
Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy received 26 points for their sexy freestyle which included a romantic prop: A bed.
Len Goodman, 8: "You took an enormous risk...It was a mix for me of emotion and commotion."
Bruno Tonioli, 9: "You put your heart and soul into that."
Carrie Ann Inaba, 9: "I love the choice... It was so risky."
