Auburn Honors Anderson

Ray Anderson, a native of West Point, Ga., was honored as Auburn University's 2007 laueate at the 14th annual International Quality of Life Awards at the United Nations in New York on Monday evening.

Anderson is the founder and chairman of the board of Interface Inc. and was recognized as the golbal pacesetter for environmentally sustainable business practices.

Interface is the world's largest producer of commercial carpet tiles with sales in more than 100 countries.

The award is presented by the Auburn University College of Human Sciences.

Anderson is a graduate of Georgia Tech.
