Tom and Bettye Lowe of Atlanta have given Auburn University a $2 million gift which has put the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering past the $100 million mark as it nears its goal of $105 million in Auburn's $500 million "It Begins at Auburn" campaign.
The money will be used for the ongoing construction of the Richard C. and Annette N. Shelby Center for Engineering Technology.
Tom Lowe graduated from Auburn with a degree in civil engineering in 1949.
