Aflac (Ticker: AFL) — Down 36 cents (0.56 percent) to $64.16

Carmike Cinemas (Ticker: CKEC) — Down 6 cents (0.59 percent) to $10.11

Synovus Financial (Ticker: SNV) — Down 58 cents (4.52 percent) to $12.26

TSYS (Ticker: TSS) — Down 25 cents (1.07 percent) to $23.07

Here are the major stock indices:

Dow Jones Industrials — Down 109.74 points (0.88 percent) to 12,422.86

Nasdaq Composite — Down 16.69 points (0.71 percent) to 2,324.36

Standard & Poor's 500 — Down 11.86 points (0.88 percent) to 1,341.13
