Small Business Week kicks off Monday

The Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce and the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center are inviting all small businesses to participate in Small Business Week this month.

Presented by Wachovia, the week runs from May 19 through May 23. There will also be events May 12 and 13.

Here are some of the events that will be held:

May 12: Protect Yourself — Essentials of Small Business Risk Management Workshop

May 13: Columbus Council's Small Business Week Proclamation

May 19: Small Business and the Arts Networking Reception

May 20: Small Business Economics Workshop, Commerce Day Symposium, Business Expo

May 21: Maximum Marketing

May 22: Eye Opener Breakfast, Small Business Recognition Gala, iWow Graduation

May 23: Valley Partnership Economic Development Seminar

Most events are free. Events with limited seating require reservations by May 15.
