Those driving downtown should expect traffic Friday morning around the Civic Center.

Aflac is holding its annual party that day for Employee Appreciation Week. The company is expecting about 4,400 of its employees to attend.

"It gets pretty congested," said Robin Walker, marketing manager for the Civic Center. "It gets congested in the mornings anyway. And then when you've got an entire company as large as Aflac getting all their employees here, it adds to it."

The program begins at 8 a.m. Aflac employees are expected back at work at 1 p.m.

There will be officers on the street directing traffic.

"Leave early, because it's going to be nuts during rush hour," Walker said.
