All are winners at Special Olympics

Hundreds of young athletes ran, jumped, threw tennis balls and received recognition for their efforts Friday afternoon at Kinnett Stadium during the Special Olympics.

More than 200 students from Muscogee, Harris and Chattahoochee counties and Fort Benning school competed in 11 events in the morning events.

About 200 volunteers, including many from Fort Benning and the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department, helped more the event along smoothly.
