Alabama 4-H, the state's oldest youth development organization will launch the celebration of its centennial year on the campus of Auburn University on Friday.
The kickoff celebration will begin at 2 p.m. on Cater Hall lawn as dozens of Alabama 4-Hers from across the state showcase their projects, a diverse array including rocketry, archery, technology, photography, design and animal husbandry.
Auburn President Jay Gouge will speak at 4:30 p.m.
Festivities will continue on Saturday as nearly 1,000 4-H members will attend the Auburn vs. Louisiana Monroe football game.
Alabama 4-H is offered in all 67 Alabama counties.
