Jarvis Cloud, 28, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with aggravated assault. Police say he struck his stepfather Henry Lee Brown in the head with a metal pole.
The incident occurred Thursday at 204 Burr Street in LaGrange.
LaGrange police responded to a call and found Brown, 56, lying on the floor in his residence. He was bleeding profusely from the head.
Brown was taken for treatment. Cloud was transported to the Troup County Sheriff's Office.
