A 55-year-old man was walking down the street Friday when he was robbed at gunpoint, Columbus police reported.

Around 8 p.m., a Columbus police officer responded to an armed robbery call. The man told police he was walking east on Broadmoor Drive when he heard someone running toward him. The suspect pointed an automatic handgun at the man and told him to give him money. The man gave him $30 and the suspect ran toward Diane Street.

The victim told police the gunman was a black male between the ages of 14 and 16, about 5 feet 5 inches and 120 lbs. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a black t-shirt and a black hat, which was tilted down so his face could not be seen.
