Aflac (Ticker: AFL) — Down $4.36 (9.4 percent) to $41.71

Carmike Cinemas (Ticker: CKEC) — Down 15 cents (4.7 percent) to $3.01

Synovus Financial (Ticker: SNV) — Up 93 cents (9.4 percent) to $10.80

TSYS (Ticker: TSS) — Down $1.55 (10.6 percent) at $13.02

Dow Jones Industrials — Down 733.08 points (7.8 percent) to 8,577.91

Nasdaq Composite — Down 150.68 points (8.4 percent) to 1,628.33
