Troup accident leaves woman dead, 3 children injured

Rudino Towles of Lanett , Ala., was killed Tuesday when her 1995 Nissan Sentra was struck by a 2003 Ford Expedition driven by Ayala DeLopez of Snellville, Ga.

The accident happened at 12:37 p.m. in Troup County on I-85. According to the State Patrol, Delopez, heading north, lost control of her car, crossed over the median and struck Towles.

Delopez had her husband and three children in her car. Two children ages 14 and 12 were ejected from the car and another age 10 was also injured. The 14-year-old was taken to the The Medical Center in Columbus and the other two were taken to Lanett Memorial
