AIKEN, S.C. — Phebe Smith poured in 35 points to lead the Columbus State women to a 82-79 win over Augusta State in the opening round of the Peach Belt Conference tournament Wednesday.
Nikki Urbizo added 10 for the Lady Cougars, who will play Clayton State at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The CSU men tipped off against Lander at 5 p.m.
