A LaGrange man was robbed in his home late Monday night by an unknown man, police said.
According to a LaGrange police department press release, the 40-year-old man was at his home on Georgia Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. when the incident occurred.
The man told police he was in his bedroom with a female friend when an unknown man entered his house, struck him several times with a pistol and then fled with the man's wallet.
The man was taken to the West Georgia Medical Center where he was treated for injuries sustained during the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
