A LaGrange police officer was arrested in downtown Columbus on Halloween and charged with DUI, police records show.
Landy Van Norris Mabry, 49, was arrested at Broadway and 11th Street at 7:40 p.m., his arrest report states. Several people saw him drive onto the sidewalk at the intersection, and he tested positive for alcohol, police said.
Mabry was taken to the Muscogee County Jail, where he tested .188. Georgia law states that a person shall not drive with a level of .08. Mabry made bond the same day.
