There will be more than 150 jobs up for grabs during three separate recruiting drives this week in Columbus.
The mix includes grocery store positions, call center staffing and production work at a major Kia automotive parts supplier.
First up 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today will be Winn-Dixie. The supermarket chain says it is looking to fill several managerial positions at stores in the Columbus area. The jobs include general managers, assistant managers, produce and grocery managers. Salaries range from $10 to $15 per hour.
The Winn-Dixie recruitment will take place at its 1100 Hunt Ave. store, near the intersection of Buena Vista Road.
On Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m., Prosperity America will have its “now hiring” sign out at the Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center, 700 Veterans Parkway. The call center is seeking to fill about 55 jobs at its 7100 Jamesson Road facility in the Midland area of Columbus. Positions include part-time account representatives ($7.50 to $9 per hour), and insurance recovery and accounts receivable staffers, who will work 37.5 hours per week and earn $9 to $10.50 per hour.
Then on Saturday, Mobis, which supplies parts to the Kia Motors auto assembly plant in West Point, Ga., will be trying to find 100 assembly line employees for its facility there.
The hiring event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and be held at the Columbus Career Center. Pay starts at $10.50 per hour.
And while no experience is required, Mobis says those seeking work should be prepared to attend a two-day, 12-hour per day pre-employment training program at the Georgia Quick Start facility in LaGrange, Ga. Applicants are not paid for the training.
