The Network Journal has compiled a list of “25 Influential Black Women in Business” and Aflac executive Teresa White is on it.
White is executive vice president and chief operations officer with Aflac’s U.S. operations. A presentation took place Thursday in New York.
Dan Amos, chairman and chief executive officer of Columbus-based Aflac, a supplemental health and life insurer, called the honor “a testament to her incredible contributions to our business, our customers and our community.” He also said White is a “driving force” in the company.
This is the 16th year the list has been compiled. The Network Journal said it chose the 25 honorees from hundreds of nominations. Each had to be trusted with “significant decision-making authority” in their company or non-profit organization.
Said journal Publisher and CEO Aziz Gueye Adetimirin: “The women we are honoring this year are at the forefront of American leadership and symbolize the diversity and advancement that has occurred across industry lines.”
The Network Journal was founded in 1993 and now has a circulation of nearly 100,000 per quarterly issue.
