A woman living in Auburn, Ala. is among the 40 Under 40 Class of 2017 unveiled by the University of Georgia Alumni Association Wednesday.
According to a report on the school’s website, the program honors the personal, professional and philanthropic achievements of UGA graduates under the age of 40.
The Auburn woman is Amelia Dortch who is the state public affairs specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
None on the list are from Columbus.

Among list were Maria Taylor of Charlotte, N.C. who is a sports broadcaster with ESPN and Behnoosh Momin of Chamblee, Ga. who is a health scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The honorees will be recognized at a luncheon at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead on Sept. 14.
