Fortson Road will be closed to thru traffic for a couple of days next week due to road repairs.
The work will begin Sept. 26 at 8 a.m. and should be completed no later than Sept. 28 at 5 p.m., according to city officials. The road will be closed from 1,500 feet north of Woolridge Road to Almond Road during that period.
“Traffic will be detoured from Fortson Road to Veterans Parkway along Woolridge and Almond Road,” according to a news release from the Columbus Consolidated Government. “Drivers are encouraged to proceed with caution in the area of the road closure and detour route.”
