The Fort Benning Golf Course announced it will hold a public sale of around 45 used golf carts in February.
The sale will take place Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the golf course at 390 Baltzell Avenue.
It will open exclusively to active duty soldiers, their spouses and retired soldiers and their spouses from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., after which it will be open to the public until 2 p.m.
Prices for the vehicles haven't been set yet, but a spokeswoman said at the most recent sale prices started in the neighborhood of $300 and went as high as around $1200.
The carts will be available for preview on Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon. The vehicles are being sold as-is with no guarantee or warranty, and the buyer will be mailed information needed to request a title for the vehicle.
The carts can be purchased with cash, credit, debit or a personal check if the check is presented along with a bank letter.
There a couple things you should know if you plan to ride your new set of wheels around town. It must be registered with the city and must be street legal, with signals, mirrors, and all necessary safety equipment. Plus, just like a car, you must have insurance on it.
