A free concert by guitarist Gyan Riley will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in RiverCenter's Legacy Hall, presented by the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music.
Riley was born in northern California in 1977, the son of renowned avant garde composer and vocalist Terry Riley. He is considered an emerging guitarist/composer in contemporary music. He has won a pair of international competitions, has served as artistic director of the San Francisco Classical Guitar Society and has performed in prestigious venues throughout Europe and the United States, including Carnegie Hall, according to a CSU news release.
