Robotics teams from 24 Alabama middle and high schools will put their creations to the test this Saturday in the 2007 Alabama B.E.S.T. competition.
The competition will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lee Scott Academy in Auburn.
Each team was given six weeks to build their robot using standardized parts provided for the competition.
Robots compete in head to head competitions. Teams will be also evaluated on their ability to market their creations.
The winning teams will advance to South's B.E.S.T., where they will compete against more than 50 winning teams from ten other B.E.S.T. competition hubs in nine states.
Alabama B.E.S.T. is co-sponsored by the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and the College of Sciences and Mathematics at Auburn University.
