A Columbus man is behind bars with no bond after a Sunday morning shooting.
Deshaun Quichocho, 22, is accused of firing two shots around 2:50 a.m. at Breakers, one of which hit a 22-year-old woman in the leg, said Columbus Police Lt. Steve Cox.
Quichocho was at a large party at the 6220 Milgen Road business when he got involved in an altercation, Cox said. The incident culminated in Quichocho pulling out a gun and firing off one shot, which hit Tracy Clark in the calf.
Clark was taken to St. Francis Hospital, treated and released, Cox said. No one else at the party was hit.
"As the subject was fleeing the business, he fired a shot at a security guard," Cox said. "He missed him."
Quichocho fled in a car, but witnesses got a good description of his vehicle and he was arrested about 15 minutes later. Police returned him to the party, where he was identified as the shooter, Cox said.
Quichocho is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless conduct.
