The Muscogee County School District's English for Speakers of Other Languages Department is having a series of informative workshops for parents of ESOL and immigrant students.
ESOL is working with representatives from Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Columbus State University and community agencies such as the Girl Scouts and Junior Achievement to present monthly workshops to discuss topics that affect ESOL children.
The topic of this next meeting is "Structure and Function of the School Site." Others will discuss topics such as financial aid and community programs for children.
