Instead of presenting "Master Harold ... And the Boys" as its January show, the Liberty Theatre is now going to present "Ceremonies in Dark Old Men" by Lonnie Elder.
Auditions will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and Dec. 7 at the Liberty Theatre, 821 Eighth Ave. The director will be auditioning actors for the roles for five men and two women. All actors must be at least 16 years old. Bring a prepared monologue that is one minute long.
The play is about an unemployed man with three children who allows his daughter to be the breadwinner for the family. Then one of the sons decides to make a quick buck by getting involved in an organized crime organization.
It can be seen 8 p.m. Jan. 18-19 and Jan. 25-26 and 3 p.m. Jan. 20 and Jan. 27.
Never miss a local story.
Tickets are $8-$15.
