Opelika police arrested 18 people on drug charges Monday and Tuesday and are looking for eight more.
The arrests resulted from a three-month undercover drug operation into the sale of controlled substances conducted by the Opelika Police department, the Alabama Beverage Control Board, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
During July, August and September, undercover officers purchased quantities of marijuana, crack cocaine and powder cocaine from a number of street-level dealers in Opelika.
A total of 26 suspects were identified during the course of the investigation.
