A Johnson Elementary pre-k class found out this morning what it takes to make a pizza.
They made their own at the Olive Garden restaurant in Columbus.
"We do this quite often with kids," said Remonia Hollins, culinary manager at the restaurant. "the children learn that not everything is instant, that there is preparation needed for what they eat. We also want to encourage them to learn more about the food industy."
Linda Davis, culinary assistant, helped the kids make the pizzas letting them put on sauce, cheese and whatever else they wanted.
"Field trips like this are very important to learn about life skills," said teacher Heather Nicholson.
