A Columbus woman was hit by a car early Friday after getting into an argument with the driver of the vehicle, police said.
Lekeisha Williams told Columbus police she was attempting to cross the street in front of Club 21 on North Lumpkin Road when she was hit by a car.
Williams, 24, told police she knew the driver of the vehicle as "Meco" and that the person struck her with the car because of a prior dispute over a man.
She sustained an injury to her left leg and was taken to Doctors Hospital by her godmother for treatment.

Williams said "Meco" had called her mother and friends multiple times hours after the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
