The Russell County School System is looking for a new district technology director.
Assistant superintendent of personnel Lillian Baker said the director would be responsible for the "day to day operations" in the system technology, such as ordering computers, overseeing Internet operations and coordinating professional development for the teachers.
The director would also be in charge of computer maintenance technicians at the schools.
Applicants should have a master's degree and an experience in the application of technology to education.
Baker said they would accept applications for the position until it was filled.
