Motorists making their lunchtime commutes Tuesday on Warm Springs Road in Columbus saw something unusal through their windshields and rear-view mirrors.
It was a crew from B & H Housemovers LLC., of Columbus, moving a 1,350 square foot house from 16th street in Columbus to the company's holding area on Macon Road.
Billy Herrin of the company said the 12 to15 mile trip required planning, getting the route approved, and obtaining the necessary permits from the city and state, but is worth the effort.
"It's a good way to recycle, " said Herrin.
Herrin said the company purchased the house and is moving the house to their holding area, where it will join six other houses, all of which are available for purchase.
