Gasoline hit another record high Wednesday in Columbus.
The average price of regular unleaded climbed to $3.22 per gallon, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report. It was five-tenths higher than the day before.
That's up from $2.94 per gallon a month ago and $2.41 per gallon on March 12 a year ago.
The highest average recorded in Georgia Wednesday was $3.25 per gallon in Savannah, also an all-time high for that city.
The state's lowest average could be found in Augusta, which was just under $3.10 per gallon.
Diesel also continues to rise, hitting its own record high of $3.83 per gallon Tuesday in Columbus. It was down slightly Wednesday.
On the national front, the average for regular unleaded Wednesday was $3.25 per gallon, a record high, AAA reported. Diesel also had a record performance, reaching $3.88 per gallon.
