Hispanic Enterprise magazine has named Aflac as one of the top 50 businesses for supplier diversity. This is the third consecutive year Aflac has appeared on the list.
"Our mission is to continue to develop processes and procedures that provide easy, efficient and accountable access for certified minority-owned businesses," Alfred Blackmar, vice president of Facilities Support at Aflac, said in a statement.
Since the inception of Aflac's program five years ago, Aflac has surpassed $100 million in spending with minority- and women-owned companies.
Hispanic Enterprise looked at each business' procurement opportunities to minority-owned businesses — including mentorship, training and networking opportunities.
Never miss a local story.
The complete list appears in Hispanic Enterprise's February/March issue.
