The Muscogee County School District’s English for Speakers of Other Languages Department will host the last of a series of informative workshops for parents of ESOL and immigrant students on Friday, April 18.
The workshop, which will focus on immigration and recent changes to immigration law, will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Spencer High School on Victory Drive.
A Spanish-language and an English-language presenter will be available at the event.
“Many immigrants are concerned about all the talk on immigration and yet, very few are well-informed. We will have Attorney Aaron Ortiz, an expert on immigration issues, present this workshop and answer any questions parents may have on this important topic, ”ESOL Lead Teacher Doris Brown said in a press release.
