The Diaz Benefit Concert is a special concert celebrating Manuel and Betty Anne Diaz's tenure in the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music. Both are retiring at the end of the semester.
The concert will be at 4 p.m. May 11 in Legacy Hall, RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, 900 Broadway.
The concert will feature both violist Manuel and pianist Betty Anne, along with violist Roberto, cellist Andres, violinist Gabriela and pianist Jenny. Roberto is the president of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Andres is a music professor at Southern Methodist University. Gabriella is a musician in Boston. Jenny is a homemaker in Texas.
All proceeds will go to the newly-created Betty Anne and Manuel Diaz Music Scholarship at CSU.
