Crews from Reaves Wrecking are making quick work of demolishing the old marina store/bait shop at Lake Oliver Marina in Columbus.
The process began Thursday morning, with workers removing asbestos siding, removing fuel lines, and dealing with other environmental issues such as removing the fluorescent fixtures and tubes.
Shortly, after 1pm, Terry Taylor of Reaves Wrecking began using a large backhoe to tear down the actual building, with it being reduced to rubble in under 30 minutes.
The remainder of the work today involves removing the debris. Most if not all of the work will be done today.
