A Columbus man who told police he'd been shot was arrested Saturday for false report of a crime.
Ivan Simmons, 32, of 2715 Schall St., walked up to Columbus police around 9:30 a.m. at the Circle K, 3010 Buena Vista Road, as they were investigating a report about someone being shot. He told officers he'd been hit, though EMS personnel said he wasn't injured.
Police then took him into custody.
