All 285 members of Columbus High School's junior class passed the Georgia High School Graduation Test.
The test consists of five subject areas — writing, English, math, science and social studies — and is administered to every high school junior in the state. Students have five opportunities to take the test and must pass all portions in order to graduate.
This is the first time in the school's history that the entire junior class has passed the test on the first attempt.
"We've been working hard," said principal Susan Bryant. "It was a concentrated effort on the part of the faculty....It's a whole school effort."
Never miss a local story.
The junior class got free ice cream today to celebrate their achievement.
