A Columbus home scheduled for demolition was gutted in a Tuesday night fire.
The two-story vacant home at 2721 Bascon Road went up in flames around 8:15 p.m. Firefighters got the blaze under control in about 20 minutes, said Fire Marshal Thomas Streeter. No one was in the home, and no one was injured.
About $200,000 in damage was done to the $200,000 home.
"It was some extensive damage," Streeter said.
