An auto supplier will bring 80 jobs and a $22 million investment to Auburn.
Alabama Gov. Bob Riley announced Thursday evening Selzer Automotive would build a plant in Auburn Technology Park West.
This will be the first U.S. plant for Selzer Fertigungstechnik GmbH & Co., the parent company of Selzer Automotive.
The German supplier will produce and assemble transmission components for a dual clutch system. The company will supply the parts for Chrysler.
Construction on the facility will begin this summer.
"Selzer is a world-class company joining the ranks of 57 other German-based manufacturers that have located in Alabama," Riley said.
