Gas prices ticked more than a penny higher again today, setting yet another all-time high.
The average price of regular unleaded hit $3.618 at local pumps, up from $3.605 on Tuesday, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
A month ago, pump prices were $3.23 per gallon in Columbus. They were $2.86 per gallon on April 30 a year ago.
Athens and Atlanta recorded the highest average price today in Georgia at $3.63 and $3.62 per gallon respectively, both record highs for those cities.
The state's lowest average can be found in Augusta at $3.50 per gallon.
Diesel fuel prices dropped slightly today in Columbus to $4.21 per gallon, off seven-tenths of a cent from Tuesday.
Nationally, more records were set.
The U.S. average for regular unleaded today is $3.62 per gallon, AAA reported. Diesel is up to $4.25 per gallon.
