Command Sgt. Maj. Michael T. Hibbs will assume responsibility as the 192nd Infantry Brigade’s top noncommissioned officer at 9 a.m. Thursday on Pomeroy Field.
Relinquishing responsibility will be Command Sgt. Major Samuel M. Rhodes, who will retire later this year.
Hibbs joined the Army in October 1984, and graduated from basic and advanced individual training at Fort Benning. A decorated combat veteran, he has served several tours at Fort Benning, as well as at installations in Germany, Hawaii, Fort Lewis, and Eglin Air Force Base, where he served as the command sergeant major for the 6th Ranger Training Battalion.
