The Atlanta History Center, 130 West Paces Ferry Road, is saluting the men and women who served our country during World War II. The celebration is noon-5 p.m. May 25.
Visitors can meet these brave veterans and learn about their personal stories through photographs, newspaper stories, letters, artifacts and personal memorabilia. They can interact with living history interpreters, who represent Allied Forces, including American, British and Soviet soldiers. These interpreters demonstrate life on the battlefield in authentic uniforms, equipment and vehicles.
The program is free for World War II veterans and active military personnel with valid ID.
Tickets are $10-$15; free for children 3 and younger. Regular hours for the Atlanta History Center are 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-5:30 p.m. Sunday.
