Russell County Sheriff's investigators and the Alabama fire marshal are investigating a fire at a trailer park in Fort Mitchell which may have killed one person.
Officers and members of the Fort Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department responded to calls at about 6:30 a.m. regarding a fire at Fort Mitchell Trailer Park on Highway 165.
One of the trailers at the park caught fire, Russell County Sheriff's Lt. Heath Taylor said. A body was found in the trailer, but investigators have not determined if the person died as a result of the fire. The person's identity has not been released.
Taylor said investigators believe there was only one person in the trailer at the time. No one else was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire has also not been determined, he said.
Taylor said the fire department did a good job of containing the fire to just one trailer.
"Trailers burn very fast," he said. "It is a total loss, but it's not falling in."
