Tuesday night's "American Idol" showdown between David Archuleta and David Cook ended with the judges pointing to an Archuleta victory.
But will voters agree?
Tonight's finale starts at 8 p.m. on Fox.
Saccharine ballad crooner Archuleta and grunge rocker Cook stayed true to their characteristic styles during the performance show. Each sang three songs: one of their own choosing, one chosen by music mogul Clive Davis and one selected from the songwriting contest's batch of potential coronation tunes.
Never miss a local story.
Judge Simon Cowell named teen Archuleta winner of all three rounds.
In a change from last year's format, the two singers selected separate songs from the coronation batch.
The two-hour finale will reportedly feature appearances by former Idols, as well as plenty of other surprises.
