Investigators with the Lee County Sheriff's office are looking for a man they believe robbed two gas stations in Smiths Station last week.
On May 17 at around 3:50 p.m., the Panther Quick Stop/BP Service Station on Lee Road 430 was robbed by an unarmed man.
The clerk told investigators that the suspect demanded money after walking up to the counter with a six pack of beer.
He fled the scene without any money, but did take beer and cigarettes from the counter.
About five minutes later, the Citgo/Bizzy Been Service Station on Lee Road 248 was robbed by the same suspect, according to a sheriff's office press release. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.
In both incidents, the suspect was unarmed, but he threatened to use force against the clerks if they did not comply with his demands.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, approximately 5-feet-6-inches tall and 185 lbs, with gray hair. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a blue and white polo shirt and a pair of blue jeans.
He fled the scene in a 1980s model white or beige Cadillac with a vinyl top.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the Lee County Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-888-522-7847.
