Eddy Middle School went into a lockdown for about 30 minutes today after a former student was seen on campus with a pellet gun.
The lockdown began around 11:45 said Valerie Fuller, Director of Communications for the Muscogee County School System. A Connect-ED message was sent out to parents.
Fuller said a teacher noticed the boy who she thought was inappropriately dressed and asked him to leave the campus. He then pulled the weapon from under his shirt.
Police later arrested the youth and found the gun nearby, said Fuller.
