A 20-year-old West Point woman was killed in a car accident late Wednesday night about 20 miles west of Hamilton.
Shautonia Davidson was pronounced dead after she was transported to The Medical Center in Columbus. The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. on County Road 103 in Harris County. Davidson was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma at 9:41 p.m. at the hospital, Harris County Deputy Coroner Dan Colberg said. Davidson was driving the car at the time of the accident and there were two passengers. The passengers were injured and also transported to the hospital where they were treated. Carmen Scarborough of the Georgia State Patrol said the accident was a one-vehicle crash. Davidson lost control of the vehicle and it overturned down an embankment.
Scarborough said troopers were not sure if Davidson was ejected, but she was found outside of the vehicle when officials arrived at the scene.
