Russell County High School is looking for a new principal.
An ad for the leading administrative position at the county's only high school was placed on the school system's Web site and on the Alabama Department of Education's Web site last week.
The former principal, Dolores McTier, was transfered to a leadership position at the Alternative Learning Center in June.
Applicants must have a master's degree and certification in educational leadership, administration and supervision or as a school principal or professional school principal. They must also have a minimum of five years experience as a teacher or in administration.

The deadline for applying is July 21.
