Parents of Muscogee County students may soon have a new way of keeping track of their child's lunch money.
At a board meeting tonight, the Muscogee County School Board will discuss adding a new online program, MyLunchMoney.com, to the system's school nutrition program.
The program would allow parents to make online payments to their child's meal account. They would also be able to check their student's purchases, view the student's spending history and receive email notifications when there is a low account balance.
Parents would pay a transaction fee of $1.95 to use the service.

The program would not cost the district anything. If approved by the board, it would be implemented by Oct. 1.
