The Web site for Columbus State University Web site is temporarily unavailable due to damage to a cable near the campus.
Access to the Web site, www.colstate.edu, was made unavailable after a PeachNet fiber was damaged 2 miles out from campus, according to a statement on the university's emergency web services page posted at around 9 a.m. this morning. A contractor is working to repair the damage.
It is unknown at this time how long the outage will last. The damage could take as long as 5 to 10 hours to repair.
